I’ve been captivated by shapes, shadows, and expressions for as long as I can remember.
My art is rooted in a fascination with the natural world—its creatures, landscapes, and especially its people. I’m especially drawn to the subtle details of human expression, from the movement of a hand to the fleeting shift in someone’s gaze. It’s in these small nuances—the furrow of a brow, the crinkle of a smile—that I believe the essence of human experience truly resides.
I primarily work with pencil and graphite, exploring the world in black and white. While I sometimes use other mediums, I find that stripping away color reveals the raw emotions and energy of my subjects. This minimalist approach allows viewers to focus on the interplay of light, shadow, and form, capturing the essence of each piece.
My goal is to invite viewers to pause and appreciate the often unnoticed details of everyday life. In a world overwhelmed by technology and noise, I hope my work offers a moment of peace and clarity, reminding us to see the beauty in the simple and the overlooked.
